Or else, they have threatened to go on a country-wide strike on Aug 28.

The Bangladesh Petrol Pump and Tank Lorry Owners-Workers Unity Council's announcement came at  media briefing in Dhaka on Saturday.

It said if their 12 demands are not met within the deadline then they will stop all operations across Bangladesh.

The platform's Convener MD Nazmul Haque said their demands, including hiking sales commission, have not been implemented for the last six years.

They threatened to go on an indefinite strike if their demands were not met by Aug 28.

In his statement, Haque said they have written to the energy ministry several times over their 12-point charter of demands but in vain.
