Grameenphone to launch Xiaomi smartphones
Grameenphone (GP) will launch three smartphones manufactured by China-based Xiaomi in Bangladesh.

A media statement said that the announcement was made last week at an event attended by GP Chief Marketing Officer Yasir Azman and DM Majibor Rahman, managing director of the official distributor Solar Electro Bangladesh.
GP said that it will offer three of Xiaomi’s popular smartphones —Redmi 3, Mi Max and Mi 5 at Tk 16900, Tk 26490 and Tk 37,900 respectively.
These phones, coupled with global software, come with a one year official manufacturer warranty.
Founded by Chinese entrepreneur Lei Jun, Xiaomi sold 70 million phones in 2015 and launched products in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, India, Indonesia and Brazil.
