Prices of vegetables, spices, onion, garlic, rice and other commodities have not changed.

Retailers at Badda, Mohakhali and Karwan Bazar said on Friday they were selling sugar at up to Tk 75 a kilogram due to the hike in the wholesale price.

The price was below Tk 70 a week ago.

The wholesalers have blamed a lack of supply due to technical glitch in several mills in past two weeks.
They said the mills resumed production but the supply was not adequate.
The retailers said lentil price dropped by Tk 2 to 5 from last week’s Tk 140 a kg.
Broiler chicken was being sold at Tk 150 a kg. The price shot up to Tk 180 during Ramadan in June.
