Bangladesh Bank in a statement on Thursday said the central bank and all scheduled banks will stay open this Saturday as a working day.

Both Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on their websites announced that they would also be trading on Saturday.

A government handout on Wednesday also said that public servants will work this Saturday.

Government offices had closed on July 3 on account of the Shab-e-Qadr and from Jul 5-7 because of the Eid-ul-Fitr vacation.

As July 4 was the only working day before Eid, the prime minister, under her executive powers, had announced the offices closed on that day and ordered them open on July 16 instead.
Due to that, this year, 1.3 million government employees holidayed for nine days to celebrate the Eid.
They joined their offices on July 10.
