Low turnover in stock market before Eid holidays

Transactions in the country’s stock market have dropped before the Eid vacation.

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a turnover of Tk 2.65 billion, which is the lowest in one and a half months, on Sunday.
 
On May 15, thy turnover was Tk 2.58 billion.
 
On Thursday, indices rose in the two bourses but turnover dropped.
 
Shares and mutual funds worth Tk 3.11 billion were traded on that day in DSE. The amount was 5.32 percent lower than on the previous days.
 
The stock market will remain closed for nine days on account of Eid from next Thursday.
 

On Sunday, indices also dropped in the two stock exchanges.
DSEX dropped 1.23 points to 4,380. The price of 193 issues dropped, 81 gained and 46 remained unchanged.
At Chittagong Stock Exchange, the CASPI lost 38.15 points to 13,422.
Of the traded issues, 63 gained, 151 dropped and 31 remained unchanged.
