High Court wants probe reports on BASIC Bank’s loan fraud
The High Court has asked the ACC and the Bangladesh Bank to submit their investigation reports on Basic Bank’s loan fraud in four weeks.

It has also asked the central bank to submit a separate report on the state-owned bank’s board of directors.
Justices Md Ruhul Quddus and Mahmudul Hoque gave the order on Tuesday.
The order follows a writ filed in November last year by one Harunur Rashid who pleaded that board’s Chairman Sheikh Abdul Hye and others be brought under the scanner in the ACC’s case.
The High Court had issued a rule after preliminary hearing on Nov 16.
