DSE Deputy General Manager Shafiqur Rahman told bdnews24.com, “In the morning, brokers send the information on money trading and matured shares to the main server. But the server was unable to coordinate the data today resulting in trading being kept on hold.”

Usually, trading begins at 10:30am and ends at 2:30pm. However, on Sunday, due to a server snag, the trading started only minutes before the usual closing time.

Considering the delay, the authorities have decided to allow trading until 4pm.

Shafiqur Rahman said, “The trading was kept on hold until 2:20pm due to technical problems at the server. It has been decided to keep the trading open till 4pm.”

However, Chittagong Stock Exchange operated normally, he said.
