The telecom operator has offered free 'internet ticket' or free data packs for certain mobile sites to subscribers using Opera Mini browser.
Facebook, crickbuzz and bdnews24.com can be browsed without charge until further notice, GP announced in a media statement Monday.
The Internet pack offers 30 free minutes daily for each of these sites.
GP has 50 million customers, of whom over 10 million are active internet users and the operator plans to raise that figure to 50 million in the next five years.
It is the first-of-its-kind offer for GP Opera Mini users in Bangladesh, the company says.
Opera Mini is a popular cross-platform mobile browser.
GP users can download the browser on their mobile phones by texting 'opera' to 5000 short code.
