Islamic front’s affiliate Chhatra Sena called the strike demanding the arrest and trial of killers of Nurul Islam Farooqi.
The FBCCI, in a statement on Saturday, said there was a “business and investment friendly” atmosphere in the country.
“Negative programmes like shutdowns will not only tarnish the country’s image but also discourage the investors,” the statement said.
Islamic Front’s presidium member Farooqi, also TV host, was slaughtered at his Dhaka home on Wednesday.
