Telenor Youth Summit commences

Grameenphone has initiated a global youth competition in Bangladesh called ‘Telenor Youth Summit 2014’ .

The contest, announced on Thursday at a news conference in a Dhaka hotel, is aimed at generating positive social change amongst the youth and creating innovative design opportunities for all with the help of digital communications technology.

Several teams will be selected from their respective alma mater for the initial stage of the contest.

From them, four teams will be selected for the final stage,” said Quazi Mohammad Shahed, Chief Human Resources Officer of Grameenphone.

“The youth of this country has all the potential to change the world with their innovative ideas. Telenor is providing a platform to the youth to enthral the whole world with their abilities.”
The winners of the competition will also get the opportunity to attend the Nobel Prize giving ceremony.
Dhaka University's IBA students Safa Tasneem and Tamid Tahsin, who are the previous winners of the contest in Bangladesh and who had represented the country in the first Youth Summit event, also talked about their experiences at the press conference.
