No DSE trading from Jul 27 for Eid

Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) will remain closed for seven days from July 27 on account of Eid-ul Fitr and weekly holidays.

There will be no trading at the prime bourses between July 27 and 31 because of Eid holidays, according to the DSE website.

Trading and official activities will resume on Aug 3 after the weekly holidays of Aug 1 and 2.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the DSE board of directors.

Trading will also remain closed at the Chittagong Stock Exchange during the holidays at the DSE.

The DSE has curtailed trading and office hours during the ongoing Ramadan.

DSE trading currently begins at 10:30am and continues until 1:30pm, while office opens from 9:30am and continues to 4:30pm.

After the Eid holidays, trading and office hours will revert to the earlier schedule.

Normally, DSE trading opens at 10:30am and continues until 2:30pm, while offices remain open from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
