Robi appoints new COO, CFO
Robi Axiata has made key appointments in an effort to ‘strengthen’ its management.

Mahtab Uddin Ahmed has taken over as the new chief operating officer (COO) from Sunday.
Ahmed has been with the private mobile operator as its chief financial officer (CFO) since 2010.
He will be responsible for sales, marketing, business operations and service delivery functions in his new role.
The new COO in a comment said he was thankful for the trust and confidence placed on him.
Yap Wai Yip, a Malaysian national, will replace him as the new CFO at Bangladesh’s third largest mobile-phone carrier by subscription -- nearly 25 million.
Yip was formerly the group financial controller of Axiata Group.
A chartered accountant by profession, he previously worked at IBM, Asia Pacific region, and Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd.
