Dhaka, Dec 14 (BDNEWS) - MGH Group, one of the country's leading supply chain management solution specialist conglomerates, has recently expanded its business to India and Pakistan.
MGH Group is the first Bangladeshi company to have started freight forwarding operations in the region's fastest growing trade zone.
Upon proving its world-class service in Bangladesh, top global retail chains that are represented by MGH in Bangladesh, invited the Group to expand the service to the regional countries.
MGH Logistics has opened office in New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Tripur to offer freight forwarding services. In Pakistan, MGH Group launched Transmarine Pakistan to provide supply chain solutions.
Group managing director Anis Ahmed said the regional expansion is the Group's primary move to make its mark across the globe and compete alongside global multinationals.
"Our services meet global standards. The accolade we receive from our clients gives us the confidence to set new standards in the global arena and earn reputation as a Bangladesh-based multinational company," he said.
The Group also plans to expand business into other parts of the world.
From its beginning in 1993, MGH Group has grown to be country's leading supply chain solution specialist conglomerate. It is the exclusive supply chain partner for leading global retail chains like Carrefour, Metro, Norton, and C&A.
The Group also represents five shipping lines, works as the sales & distribution wing for brands like P&G, Gillette, Kodak, Goodnight, and Star TV. On the aviation wing, the Group represents Galileo Computer Reservation System in Bangladesh and Nepal, and five airlines as GSA.
The customer enabling capabilities have seen MGH fetch almost one-fifth of the country's sea freight export market share, and roughly 12 percent of airfreight market share, said a press release.
It also services 372 travel agents using 544 PC terminals and reaches to 90,000 retail outlets, touching lives all across Bangladesh.
