Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Hasibul Haque conducted official activities on the premises of the cognisance court on Sunday, the Upazila Bar Association President Anwar Hossain told bdnews24.com.

Floodwaters entered the building on Thursday, and the police barrack, courtroom, and evidence room were still under knee-deep water on Sunday.

The documents were put on the furniture.

Judges, employees and lawyers used rafts made of banana trees to reach the building.

Lawyer Anwar said the court is run by a judge and a magistrate.

“It continued operations considering the interests of the justice-seekers,” he said.
