Titumir College student held for alleged rape of schoolgirl in Mirpur

A student of Government Titumir College has been arrested on charges of raping a schoolgirl in Dhaka’s Mirpur.

Police said Management student Sujon was detained Wednesday night at Mirpur's Pallabi.

Pallabi police OC Dadan Fakir told bdnews24.com that a case was filed against him by the girl's father the same day following his detention.

“Sujon was caught while raping a class nine student of a local school,” the OC said.

According to police officer Fakir, Sujon and the girl were involved in a relationship.
