Sonjibon Chakraborty Partha will be replaced by vice president Ruhul Amin, as per the decision reached by central committee of the ruling Awami League's student wing on Thursday.

Chhatra League leaders and activists in the university at Sylhet have been asked to prepare for an upcoming meeting, said a notice signed by top central leaders.

The central committee of the Chhatra League had frozen the activities of its SUST committee on Apr 12 after Partho reportedly ordered an attack on two journalists for protesting against the harassment of a female campus visitor by his supporters on Apr 8.

SUST press club vice-president Nabiul Alam Dipu and general secretary Sardar Abbas were injured in the attack.
