Govt reshuffles 19 top police posts
The government has reshuffled 19 posts in the police department with the rank of deputy inspector general (DIG) and superintendent of police (SP).

The home ministry announced the transfers and relocations in two separate circulars on Wednesday.
Barisal Range DIG Sheikh Mohammad Maruf Hasan has been transferred to Naval Police.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam has replaced Maruf in Barisal.
Additional DIG for Dhaka Range Mohammad Mahbubur has filled up the post of Shafiqul as Rajshahi city police chief.
Naval Police DIG Mohammad Moniruzzaman has been transferred to Bangladesh Police Department.
Police Department's DIG Shaibalkanti Chowdhury has been transferred to Special Security and Protection Battalion or SPBn.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Joint Commissioner YM Belalur Rahman has been made additional commissioner at the Police Department. Additional DIG Abu Hasan Mohammad Tariq has been promoted to DIG at the same department.
SP Mohammad Abdul Quader has been transferred from the Police Department to Criminal Investigation Department, Mohammad Selim Khan from DMP to SPBn and Mohammad Mojammel Haque from Naogaon to DMP.
SP Mohammad Iqbal Hossain of the Police Department has been made SP of Naogaon. Barisal SP SM Aktaruzzaman has been transferred to the Police Department, while DMP Deputy Commissioner Md Saiful Islam has been made the SP of Barisal.
