Cabinet opens probe into Barguna UNO Salmon incident
The Cabinet Division has formed a panel to investigate whether the case against Barguna UNO Tariq Salmon and the subsequent events breached the law.

A five-member committee was formed on Jul 22 over the incident, said Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam. The committee will have to file its findings within 15 days.
“They will investigate whether any aspect of the incident was in breach of the law and whether it was misused,” he said.
The panel led by an additional secretary includes officials from home, law and public administration ministries and the Prime Minister’s Office.
