532 institutions have full success rate in HSC exams, 72 are laggards

All examinees from 532 educational institutions across the country have passed their Higher Secondary Certificate, or HSC, and equivalent exams. All students from 72 institutions have failed.

Eight-hundred-and-forty-eight institutions had a 100 percent success rate last year, while students from 25 had failed.
The change is the result of new evaluation procedures enacted this year, according to Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid. 
 
The success rate fell 5.79 percentage points to 68.91 percent in 2017 from a year ago. The number of students who achieved a GPA-5 fell by 20,307.
