They had fled across the border to Bangladesh amid heavy fighting between the Myanmar military and rebel insurgents in Rakhine
The crash took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway on early Friday, said Arjun Chandra Biswas, sub-inspector at Itakhola Highway Police outpost.
Abdul Malek, 45, and Alauddin, 20, died inside the Sylhet-bound microbus when the truck rammed into it from the back.
Five others including three of a family suffered injuries. They are Masud Hossain, 45,
‘Sumon’, 35, Ataur Rahman, 40, his wife ‘Rahima’, 34 and daughter ‘Samia’, 9.
The injured have been admitted to the state-run hospital in Narsingdi, said SI Arjun.
