Bodies of two missing boys recovered from Naf River

The bodies of two boys who went missing after their boat capsized in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf have been recovered.

Locals found the bodies in an estuary of the Naf River in the Shabrang Union, said Teknaf Police Station OC Mainuddin Khan.

The two were identified as Saddam Hossen (16) and Anwar Sadek aka Ayyub (8), who hailed from Teknaf’s Sadar Upazila.

Three boys went missing on Tuesday after a tourist boat overturned on the river.

The coast guard, fire service and locals began searching for the boys after the accident.

The body of Md Amin (9) was recovered from the river near the new jetty in Teknaf on Wednesday.

Police will turn over the bodies to the families, the OC said.
