Body of missing boy found in Naf River

The body of a boy who was missing after his boat capsized on Tuesday has been recovered from the Naf River in Cox’s Bazar.

Two other boys missing after the same accident have yet to be found.

The body of 9-year-old Mohammad Amin was recovered by locals near the new jetty area on the Naf River around 11am, said Teknaf Police Station OC Mainuddin Khan.

Amin lived in the Teknaf municipal area and is the son of Sabbir Ahmed aka Monu Miah.

Amin and two other boys had gone missing on Tuesdays after their boat capsized during a trip on Tuesday evening.

The other boys, Anwar Sadeq, 8, and Saddam Hossain, 16, are also from Teknaf. As of Wednesday afternoon they have not been found.

The Coast Guard, the fire service and local fishermen are all searching for the boys , OC Khan said.
