Mashrafe, Shakib join Eid prayers

Bangladesh's favourite Tigers have been celebrating Eid with family.

Masrafe Bin Mortaza, the nation's beloved cricket captain, chose to wear a red Panjabi on the occasion on Monday.

His three-year-old son Sahel, youngest of his two children, was also wearing red when he accompanied his father to the Eid prayers at the Narail municipality's Eidgah at 8am.

Mashrafe's younger brother Cesar and uncle Nahidul Islam were also with him.    

Another cricket star, Shakib Al Hasan, was seen in the Eid prayers that started at 9am at Magura's Nomani Maidan.

He was in dark purple, and sat among worshippers from all walks of life. He greeted them after end of Munajat and told reporters to convey his Eid greeting to the nation.

The top all rounder was looking to spend the rest of the day with family in their house at Keshobmor area, he told bdnews24.com.
