A half kilometre-long gridlock was reported on the Comilla part of the Toll Plaza on Tuesday noon.

However, Purbanchal highway police SP Paritosh Ghosh said there is no traffic pressure on Dhaka-Chittagong highway.

“Police are on high alert to avert any problem,” Ghosh said.

Traffic congestion has impacted on vehicular movement over a one-km stretch between Paduar Bazar Biswa Road junction point and Daudkandi toll plaza.

Vehicles were moving slowly due to construction work on Dhaka-Chittagong level-crossing over pass in Paduar Bazar.
