Two children among three dead in Sylhet flash flood

At least three people, including two minor siblings, have died in a flash flood triggered by heavy rains in Sylhet's Companyganj.

Faruk Mia, 56, and two of his neighbour's daughters - Tamanna, 3, and Sultana, 1, drowned as they were swept away by rushing water in Kalairag village early in the morning on Saturday, police said. Neighbour Selim Mia somehow survived.

The victims were asleep at that time, said Companyganj Police Station OC Altaf Hossain.
