The cricketer’s father has filed a complaint with the district’s sports association and Dinajpur Deputy Commissioner Mir Khairul Alam.

The deputy commissioner told bdnews24.com on Sunday that the authorities would take measures after investigation.

Mithu, an executive member of the district’s sports association, has denied the allegation.

The father of the alleged victim told bdnews24.com that Mithu took his daughter to the local centre for injured sportspersons after she was injured during practice on June 1.

"Mithu sent the other women back to the field and tried to harass her sexually in the name of treatment," the father alleged.

Quoting his daughter, he also alleged that Mithu had earlier sexually harassed female cricketers, but they had not filed any complaint out of fear and shame.

Mithu, who runs Procheshta Cricket Coaching Centre in Dinajpur, said the allegations were a ‘conspiracy’ against him and his coaching centre.
