New Moroccan ambassador meets Foreign Minister Mahmood Ali

New Moroccan Ambassador Majid Halim has paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali at the latter’s office in Dhaka.

During the meeting on Sunday, they discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in economic development, trade and investment, agriculture and renewable energy.

They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest and hoped to continue to support each other at the UN and other international bodies, the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Ali praised the “remarkable progress” of Morocco under the leadership of King Mohammed VI.

The ambassador handed over a letter from his foreign minister to Ali inviting him to Morocco.

Ali hoped that bilateral relations would be “further enhanced following high level visits.

Halim also praised Bangladesh for its “constructive and proactive roles” in consolidating Muslim Ummah under the auspices of the OIC.
