The Ramadan in Bangladesh will begin Sunday, marking a period of fasting and religious focus for millions.

Religious Affairs Minister Matior Rahman announced the date on Friday.
He said after a meeting of the National Moon-Sighting Committee that the moon for the ninth month of Islamic calendar was not sighted in the day.
According to the timings published by the Islamic Foundation, Muslims will have to finish this Ramadan’s first Sahri by 3:41am and can start Iftar at 6:43pm.
