The special court of Judge Abu Ahmed Jomader is currently hearing the case.

Khaleda’s lawyer Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan filed the petition with the High Court on Monday.

“We fear we will be denied fair trial by this court,” he said adding that a bench led by Justice M Enayetur Rahim will hear the petition.

On Sunday, the High Court granted Khaleda’s plea for changing a trial court in another graft case involving Zia Orphanage Trust but did not mention which court will take over.

The former prime minister stands accused of embezzling Tk 21 million in the case.

Khaleda filed the petition citing lack of confidence in Dhaka’s Senior Special Judge Kamrul Hossain Molla.

The case, initially started at the court of Judge Abu Ahmad Jomader, was shifted to the court of Kamrul Hossain Molla following Khaleda’s plea.
