Mild tremor felt in Sylhet, other northeast Bangladesh districts

A mild tremor has been felt in Sylhet and other north-eastern districts of Bangladesh.

No damage was reported in the earthquake on Friday night.

Zahirul Islam, an official of the Meteorological Department's Seismic Centre, told bdnews24.com that the quake took place at 10:47pm.

The magnitude 4.1 quake's epicentre was in Indian state of Meghalaya, 204 kilometres northeast from Dhaka, according to Zahirul.
