His condition has not changed, RAB spokesman Mufti Mahmud Khan said on Wednesday, quoting doctors in Singapore.

He said the RAB intelligence chief would be admitted to Dhaka's Combined Military Hospital after being brought back later in the night.

Khan, who heads the media wing of the elite antiterrorism force, said Azad was being brought back following advice of doctors at Mouth Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

"He will be given the same treatment here," Khan said.

Another top official of RAB said the force decided to bring Azad back on his family's consent.

Quoting doctors in Singapore, Khan earlier said a splinter pierced his head, which was the 'most critical' injury he suffered.

Six people were killed and at least 40 others, including the RAB intel chief, injured in two blasts near a militant hideout during an army operation in Sylhet on Saturday.

Azad was first taken to Sylhet's MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital where he underwent several surgeries. Doctors said he suffered splinter injuries. He was transferred to CMH in Dhaka first and then to Singapore.
