The embassy, on Tuesday, said the two-day show that began on Monday was to showcase Bangladesh’s art and culture to the South-east Asian country.
Independence and freedom of Bangladesh in the month of March, the month of birth of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and the month of International Women’s Day and women’s emancipation are the theme of the display.
“We are highly impressed with Bangladesh’s artworks specially created on the themes of the emancipation of Bangladesh and empowerment of Bangladeshi women,” the minister said.
“Thai government looks forward to working closely with Bangladesh Embassy in Bangkok to host more Bangladeshi art exhibitions in Thailand”.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand Saida Muna Tasneem was also present at the inauguration.
The embassy aid the exhibition created “huge interest” among the art connoisseurs from Bangkok’s art scene as more than 500 visitors enjoyed the art show including Ambassadors, Thai dignitaries, Thai media and the general public.
The Embassy last year also organised a week-long ‘Bangladesh-Thailand Friendship Art Camp and Exhibition titled, “Amity” at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre in March.
