Pirojpur schoolteacher hacked to death
A schoolteacher has been hacked to death ‘over a land dispute’ in Pirojpur.

The murder was reported from Poshchim Baniari village of Nazirpur Upazila early on Thursday.
Police said assailants broke in the house of 42-year-old Shomiron Bepari.
“They hacked him and his wife Shwapna. Locals rushed them to a Khulna hospital. Shomiron died on the way,” said Nazirpur police OC Md Habibur Rahman.
“We suspect that the attack was led following a land dispute. One Montu Mia has been held from the village,” he said.
