Prime Minister Hasina urges people to resist terrorism

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged people to resist terrorism and militancy.

The government will rehabilitate those who shun terrorism, she said addressing a mass rally at Magura on Tuesday.

“We are taking up development works for your benefit. I have only one request to you – you should take measures to eradicate terrorism, militancy, drug addiction from Magura,” she said.

“You have to keep an eye on you children - talk to them, identify their problems, motivate them so that they don’t go astray.”

She also asked parents and teachers to identify the reasons if any student is absent from school.

“Those who want to return from the path of terror, we will rehabilitate and integrate  them into society. If necessary, we will provide them with jobs,” Hasina added.

She also mentioned that they could also take help from the Karmasangsthan Bank which provides loan up to Tk 200,000 without collateral.

“The youths can also get involved in rural digital centres, one-house-one-farm projects and other development works,” she added.
