PSC plans to hold BCS tests in English too

The Public Service Commission (PSC) plans to hold entire Bangladesh Civil Service examinations in English along with Bangla.

A PSC delegation revealed the plan to open the English option to President Md Abdul Hamid at a meeting at the Bangabhaban on Tuesday.
 
PSC Chairman Muhammed Sadique headed the 13-member delegation to submit the report in the commission's activities in 2016.
 
President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told the media about the PSC's plan.
 
In BCS exams, the candidates first face preliminary tests of 200 marks with multiple choice questions (MCQ).
 
Those who clear the preliminary hurdle take 1,100-mark written tests and finally 200-mark viva exams.
 
The PSC chairman informed the president that the commission recommended appointing 26,193 to cadres and 20,685 to non-cadres.
 
The president urged the PSC to ensure the appointment of competent candidates and evaluate the answer scripts 'properly'.
