She filed the general diary at Dhanmondi Police Station on Friday afternoon, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Maruf Hossain Sarder told bdnews24.com.

Shaon has alleged in the GD that false stories on her are being broadcast live through a Facebook ID 'Bunty Mir', which is 'embarrassing and horrifying' for her.

Farooki's movie 'Doob' has been stopped from screening by the film authorities following Shaon's objection.

Shaon alleges the movie depicted her late husband famous contemporary writer Humayun Ahmed in an 'objectionable' way.

But Farooki denies the allegation, saying it is an original creation, not a biopic of Humayun.

Actor Rokeya Prachi recently said it appeared to her that she was playing Humayun's first wife's role in the movie. Shaon is Humayun's second wife.

Indian actor Irrfan Khan has played the protagonist in the movie 'Doob'.

The two sides - those supporting Shaon and others supporting 'Doob' - are making comments in the media over the issue.

Amidst the dispute, police officer Maruf said Shaon in the GD alleged Bunty Mir was propagandising against her.
Shaon has written on her Facebook page: "I believed that it would be unbecoming of human being to respond to dog bite by biting a dog.
"But now I understand that we should protest against the activities of some animals in the guise of human beings," she wrote, in an apparent reference to Bunty.
