A truck has run over a 6-year-old girl in Mymensingh.

The accident has been reported from Tarakanda Upazila on Wednesday morning.
Tarakanda police OC Majaharul Hoque said a Netrokona-bound truck ran over Tanzina Akter while she was playing near her home beside the Mymensingh-Netrokona Highway.
She died on the spot, he added.
Following the incident, locals blocked the highway, which caused disruption of traffic for half an hour, said the police officer.
The body has been sent to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
