Humayun Kabir, 34, succumbed to his injuries around 10:30am on Wednesday, said DMCH burns unit's Resident Doctor Partha Shankar Paul. He had suffered 90 percent burns.
On Feb 18, the 'MT Anchor S', carrying almost a million litres of diesel and petrol, caught fire following an explosion in its engine room.
The tanker was heading to an oil depot in Barisal from Chittagong through the Kirtankhola River.
The blast left four crew members injured.
Among them, Abu Sufian was admitted to the Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal while the rest - Kabir, 'Shahidul' and 'Nazmul' - were transferred to the DMCH the same day.
Shahidul has suffered 50 percent burns while Nazmul more than 80 percent, doctors at the DMCH.
