PM Hasina stops over at Abu Dhabi on way home from Munich

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Abu Dhabi on her way to Dhaka after a two-day visit to Munich.

The flight carrying her left the German city on Saturday at 9:45am local time. The Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany Imtiaz Ahmed saw her off at the airport.

The Etihad Airways flight landed at Abu Dhabi around 7am local time on Sunday.

After a five-hour stopover, Hasina is scheduled to fly for Dhaka around 12:30am local time and expected to arrive around 8pm Bangladesh time.

Hasina reached Germany on Friday to join the 53rd Munich Security Conference. She is the first Bangladeshi head of state or government to join the conference.

On Saturday, she held a bilateral meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and took part in a panel discussion.

The previous day, she attended a reception organised by the Awami League's Germany chapter.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Principal Secretary to the PM Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque, Home Secretary Kamaluddin Ahmed and Press Secretary to the PM Ihsanul Karim were in the PM's entourage.
