Suspect killed in police ‘shootout’ in Munshiganj
A suspect booked in 22 cases has been killed in a ‘shootout’ with police.

The ‘shootout’ occurred in the Boikhar area of the city early on Monday morning, said District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jayedul Alam.
The victim was identified as Shahjalal Mizi.
“Mizi was arrested on Sunday evening in Munshiganj,” the police official told bdnews24.com. “A police team took him on a raid early on Monday morning to recover weapons.”
“At this time the police group was ambushed by criminals who tried to free Mizi. Police exchanged gunfire with the attackers and Mizi was killed in the shootout.”
Two pistols and two sharp weapons were recovered from the scene, he added.
