The three teenagers were students at Shahadat Pilot Middle School, said Chaugaccha Police Station SI Anwarul Alam.

Their relatives filed a general diary over their absence at the police station on Sunday evening.

The three missing boys are Ashraful Islam Shaon from Chaugaccha’s Thanaparha, Ashraful Islam from West Karigarparha, and Tanvir Ahmed Tonmoy from Bakparha. All of them are 13 years old.

“An initial inquiry found that the boys’ clothes and some money were also missing,” SI Anwarul told bdnews24.com.

“We think the three may have gone on a trip without telling their families. We are making further inquiries. We have sent word to other police stations.”

Shaon left the house on Sunday evening, saying he was going for a private tutor, said his father Shafiqul Alam. He has not returned since and is not at the house of any relatives.

Some of Shaon’s shirts, pants and winter clothes were missing, he said. He had also taken about Tk 9,000.

“I learned Ashraful and Tonmoy were missing when I began to ask Shaon’s friends and classmates about his whereabouts,” his father said.
