Teen knifed to death in Dhaka's Tejgaon

An 18-year old youth has died after he was attacked with a knife.

The incident took place in the Tejgaon of the capital around 2:30pm on Wednesday.

Abdul Aziz, the victim, was a resident of Raiparha in Narsinghdi. He was the son of Bashir Hossain.

Two others injured in the incident have been admitted to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH outpost Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia quoting friends told bdnews24.com the incident was the fallout of an old feud.

He said Aziz's friend 'Mafizur' had threatened members of another group with a knife in the morning. 

At 2:30pm, Aziz attacked 'Saimun', another youth from the rival group when he along with another five boys came to Tejkuniparha.

In the tussle, Saimun managed to injure Aziz.

When friends rushed him to the DMCH, he was declared dead.

Saimun, who also sustained injuries, was hospitalised.

Tejgaon Police Station OC Majharul Islam said they have not yet made any arrests.
