The longest single line of moving bicycles, consisting of 1186 cyclists, was achieved during an event organised by BDCyclists in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on Dec 16, 2016, says Guinness World Records website.

BDCyclists members celebrated the occasion in a ceremony at Manik Mia Avenue on Tuesday night following the official announcement.

On the morning of the nation’s celebration of the Victory Day marking the triumph in the nine-month war against Pakistan, the cycling community paddled to Purbachal’s 300 Feet to form the vivid ‘Bijoy Ride’ queue.

The record was previously held by the Cyclist Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina who formed a line of 984 units.

In 2015, they snatched the record of cyclists of the United States who held the record for five years by queuing up 916 moving cycles in a row.
