Manikganj man sentenced to death for killing wife
The Manikganj court has awarded the death penalty to a man for murdering his wife.

The convict Alamgir Hossain, 34, had been absconding after securing bail from the High Court in 2014.
On Apr 14, 2007, Hossain strangled his 18-year-old wife Mumtaz Begum to death following conjugal discord, said Prosecutor Abdus Salam.
They were residents of Najirpur village of Shingair Upazila.
Police arrested Hossain the next day after the victim's family started a case.
