Jebunnahar Islam, 34, and Trisha Moni alias Umme Aysha, 28, were produced before a Dhaka court on Monday.

Jebunnahar is the wife of slain militant leader and former army officer Jahidul Islam, while Trisha's husband is absconding militant leader Mainul Islam Musa.

Hours after the raid unfolded early on Saturday at a three-storey building in Ashokona, the women with their two children turned themselves in to the law enforcers.

Counterterrorism unit's Inspector Md Sayedur Rahman pleaded for a 10-day remand at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Meher Nigar.

The court granted seven days each for the women, who had no lawyer representing them on Monday.

Two persons died during the raid – slain militant leader Tanvir Qaderi's teenage son Afif and a woman, who police identified as 'Shakira,' the wife of absconding militants 'Sumon'.

Shakira's 4-year-old daughter suffered splinter injuries when her mother detonated an improvised suicide vest.

Police have started an anti-terrorism case against eight persons over Saturday's raid, when a huge amount of explosives and suicide vests were seized.

The ground floor apartment of the three-storey building, which was rented out to Musa, has been used as a safe house of the militants, said investigators.

A manhunt is on for Musa, who hails from Rajshahi's Bagmara, Dhaka Metropolitan Police chief Asaduzzaman Mia said.
