4 killed in Gazipur road accident
Four people have been killed in a road accident at Gazipur’s Kaliganj after a pickup van hit a tree and flipped over.

At least 14 others were injured in the accident.
The accident occurred on Sunday morning at the eastern side of Ulukhola Bridge, said Kaliganj Police Station SI Golam Mowla.
Three of the deceased have been identified -- Renu Miah (27), ‘Farid’ (30) and ‘Farid’ (35), all residents of Batshatra village in Netrakona’s Kolomkanda Upazila.
The fourth deceased victim was the driver of the pickup van, but police are yet to identify him.
Eight of the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment. The rest received first aid.
The victims were returning home to Netrakona after their work as day labourers, SI Mowla told bdnews24.com. Along the road the driver lost control of the vehicle and it smashed into a roadside tree.
“The victims were taken to hospital with the support of locals, where doctors declared four of them dead.”
