Local police OC Rifaat Khan Rajib said the section 144 has been withdrawn since 8pm on Tuesday.

The clashes erupted on Sunday between police and demonstrators, who have been demanding the nationalisation of Fulbarhia Degree College.

The botany teacher of the college, 50-year-old Abul Kalam Azad, and 70-year-old Fulbarhia resident Safar Ali were killed in the clashes.

Authorities imposed the bar the following day.

Meanwhile, another probe has been ordered into the incident.

Mymensingh's Superintendent of Police Syed Nurul Islam said the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has formed a four-member committee headed by DIG Sayedur Rahman.

He said the committee has been told to submit its findings within seven working days.

The latest probe takes the number of inquiries initiated over the incident to five.

The four others have been ordered by the Mymensingh district administration, education ministry, Mymensingh range police and the district police.
