Bangladesh high Commission takes part in Pakistan ‘Charity Bazar’

Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad has taken part in the annual ‘Charity Bazar’ of the Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association.

Traditional Bangladeshi cuisine, sweets and handicrafts drew attention of the Pakistani crowds during the fair on Sunday, the high commission said in a statement on Monday.

High Commissioner Tarik Ahsan and his wife Mahajabin Ahsan welcomed guests in the Bangladesh stall.

Funds collected from the fair are being used for charity works later by the Pakistan Foreign Office Women Association. Bangladesh mission has also made a donation.

Pakistan’s First Lady Begum Mahmuda Mamnoon Hossain inaugurated the fair. Almost all foreign missions in Islamabad take part in the annual festival.
