At the screening of his latest documentary ' Journey to Justice' in the Press Club of India, Kabir said that the Jamaat was 'still working against the spirit and the values of the Liberation War'.

He urged Bangladeshis to be 'eternally vigilant' against all such activities.

'Journey to Justice' tells the grim tale of the genocide by the Pakistan army during Bangladesh’s nine-month War of Liberation in 1971.

"It was one of the most brutal and well-planned genocides of the 20th century that claimed three million innocent civilians. Over 200,000 women were subjected to rape and tortures, while one million people were forced to flee to neighbouring India, said Kabir.

The documentary also focused on the trial of the Bengali collaborators of Pakistan on charges of committing crimes against humanity by special tribunals set up by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government in 2010. Several war crimes accused have been executed and several others are awaiting gallows.

Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali, the chief guest at the screening, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had promised that the war criminals will be brought to justice and she has kept her commitment.

The trial will continue until the last of the criminals are meted out justice, he said.
