The arrests were made on Wednesday night during separate raids at the capital's Uttara and Adabor area, said RAB headquarters' Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman.

"They were nabbed with weapons, ammunitions and explosives," he told bdnews24.com.

The elite police unit said that they were member of the JMB's 'Sarwar-Tamim group' and that they included its financial coordinator, explosives expert and trainer.

Identities of those arrested are yet to be disclosed and the RAB said details will be provided in a media briefing later on Thursday.
